My decision to pursue a diploma in Physics came simply because the conclusion of my natural academic and vocational inclinations my fascination for natural phenomena continues to be present since I'm able to recall. Such curiosity developed as we grow older and it has been more dramatically focused in to the regions of modern Physics, through the overall background my study of Greater Level Physics within the Worldwide Baccalaureate provides by the reading through more specialist documents on areas like the philosophy of physics, quantum mechanics and chaos by authors for example Paul Davies, Roger Penrose and Stephen Hawking. This reading through has allowed me to know the requirements of college level physics with conceptual complexity, but additionally within the research-oriented approach I ultimately intend to embrace, especially in the growing area of molecular nanotechnology.

Biophysics 1

My curiosity about science is rooted within the need to know how the planet -especially living microorganisms -works and just how it's developed. Although I certainly possess a more powerful curiosity about biological instead of physical sciences I don't want to select a training course restricted to just one facet of biological science at this time of my education. The aspects fascinating me most to date are Pathology and Evolution, this especially fostered by ??Evolution of Infectious Disease??by Paul W. Ewald. I keep discovering it amazing how small microbes can significantly influence our physiques and I must obtain a much deeper nderstanding of the at college In 1999/2000 I spent annually in a sixth form college in oxford where I analyzed Chemistry, Maths, Biology and Physics. My motivation to invest annually abroad was to pay attention to the topics that interested me most because I wasn't pleased with the educational standards of my school in Germany. Some other reasons were the chance to enhance my language abilities substantially and also to experience another European country first-hands.

Astrophysics 2

From as being a small child in primary school I've always had a desire for maths and also the world. Throughout my education my interest is becoming particularly focused upon the subjects involved with astrophysics, for example gravity and relativity and much more astronomical facets of the topic for example cosmology. Throughout my A-level course in Physics I've loved the subjects based on the concepts of space for example gravity and relativity in addition to individuals associated with mechanics, when i think it is interesting to understand the way the world around us works and what rules govern the world. In maths I've loved learning and taking advantage of calculus, this is certainly one of my most powerful areas of the maths course. I've found it fascinating to determine the extent that this method can be used in industry. I've loved doing both A-levels and also have discovered that they complement one another fantastically
