Flying. It’s a natural to our lives but most people do not give a thought to how we achieve it. Aviation went from being an absurd idea to a fundamental part of the way that we interact as a race. That is why I find aeronautical engineering the fascinating because having seen what we have already achieved in this field of engineering, it captivates my imagination just to think about the endless possibilities that can be achieved in the field of aeronautical engineering and how they can benefit society.

Like a year 13 student at ********* **** School, Nottingham, I'm within the final year of my A-Level studies. My current subjects are: Maths, Physics and ICT and to date I've been quite effective with my schoolwork as well as in my exams. In maths Used to do a task on odds which year I'm carrying out a project in mechanics. In physics Used to do a task in Hooke??s law which year I've selected the particular warmth capacity project. In ICT I developed a record and purchasers system which year I must design an identical system but it will likely be much more complex then the first. I have grown accustomed to the sight of commercial aircraft, especially the underside of the aircraft. Having lived parallel to the flight path to the runway at the Dubai airport, the opportunity to sight aircraft passing overhead every few minutes has become a norm in my life. My interest in the aerospace industry however goes beyond the appreciation of an aircraft. For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by motorised vehicles and structures of all sorts, ranging from buildings to bridges. Living in Dubai has allowed me to pursue this fascination. Accompanying my father whilst he was on business around the city has allowed me to meet people at various construction sites and factories which has helped me to learn about manufacturing and developing processes; it has also given me a valuable insight into how engineers put to use their education in the ‘real world’.
